Dog Training?
I recently submitted an empty can full of coins as a way to train my puppy. I read somewhere that if you a puppy is doing something wrong like crawling under the sofa or chewing the carpet that would give the can a good shake and the noise to startle the dog action innapropriate, and running, my dog has stopped going on the sofas. I've also read that scold a puppy for the elimination of the plant will scare and therefore to the mentality that just does not want to see stern, ever. So the dog behind the sofas and eliminate corners where you can not see. Do not fry my puppy accidents on the carpet, but I wondered, that complement can shake my puppy out to eliminate inappropriate spot? Or is it just scare you to eliminate in general? Any other paper training tips are appreciated Thanks
First, congratulations to you. The sign of a good and responsible owner is one who takes time to investigate, consider other options instead of taking "the road is the right way" or "I have nothing to learn about the methods of collection dog. "Secondly, here is the most important thing to remember about animal training and dogs in particular: you can teach them to almost anything using traditional approaches and operant conditioning behavior. Dogs as a species to seek approval from us – who want to make us happy. That's why it's much easier to train dogs than cats. Those positive training methods are so effective with dogs. Now specifically to your questions … I'm not crazy ideas to shake a can of coins or stones, or spritzing a dog with a bottle of water. There are a couple of reasons: 1. It is easier to train a dog to do something what is to teach them about something. For example, is easier to train the dog to urinate on command and outdoor use one specific point which is to train every place a dog inside is prohibited. It is easier to train a dog to enter a peaceful and quiet thrown when someone comes into the house than it is to teach not to bark. The general principle of using adverse signals like a can of coins or a bottle of water is based on several assumptions: – The dog will associate the bad behavior by with bad sound or response (running water, for example) and try to avoid it. – The dog is distracted by the sound. Now nothing can be distracting (just shout the name dog's real hard when they start lifting a leg). As for the association, the problem with that theory is that dogs are bad for the conduct of widespread (Which is why we can have a memory of dynamite in his backyard, but terrible in the yard next to her's). So when you shake the can, the dog could be holding – that s is bad for humans to see me take my shock, I have to do it in private … or – my man in a bad mood – my human needs faster than me to pee – my man thinks he should have done more to piss the window – "my human is unpredictable and should be avoided in all, a water bottle or a can of coins or some another distractor isa mediocre training devise. People keep looking for shortcuts and I'm sure you get some posts here from people saying they worked for them. But training work is based on a lot of time, patience and consistency, but in the end you have a dog that is reliable when you do not have the can, when you're in a hotel or a friend's house, around other dogs or when you're not there. Because the dog has taught you what you want them to do instead of what's wrong. Remember, teaching a dog what not to do is incredibly hard (and that's what the water bottle / can approach attempts to do), but teaching them the habit right is actually easy enough – the dogs are great habits. Here are a couple of internal training tips: – Never use paper or towels you are teaching the dog to do pee in the house is well and dogs have problems to generalize that a pad is not a carpet. – Clean with Nature's Miracle. If the urine odor is still where your puppy will "wow, how nice, my man left me a sign of the right spot to pee – some other dog was here before me and used the same place. "- Put your dog on a leash Shen at home until 6 months of age. Place the belt around his belt. Your puppy may be attached to your belt or in the case when at home. Whenever you see a leg to start up or bending over traditional to shout "HEY!" the shock and then rush outside. – Schedules mean much for puppies. Try to keep the regularity that makes it easy to hold. – Here 's a suggested timetable for a puppy. Up in the morning before coffee or paper, the dog goes out. In the morning, puppy gets food and water and in two minutes to go outside. When puppy pees, it is as though just discovered gold. Praise, pet and then treat the puppy. After a couple of times, the behavior associated with a command ("Do it" or "Mark" or "Go poop" or whatever). – Take a walk in the morning (another chance to pee.) – If puppy enters the cage, and working or have sent, first think to do is take puppy outside. – Puppy gets another drive (and the opportunity to pee.) – Puppy gets second meal around 17:00 or 18:00 and 2 minutes is outdoors. – No food or water in the last 19:00. – Puppy gets a trip out just before bedtime (eg 11 or 11:30 pm). None of this is other playtime, walks, puppy playdates are other opportunities to pee.
