Looking for good resources on training Akitas?
I hope someone can point me to good online training Akita page, something for free preferably, but if you have a suggestion for a book or video that proved invaluable in trainging your dog, that is also welcome. Also, if you have any expeirience staff with suggestions and tips training Akitas are most appreciated. Http: / / 15minutedogtraining.com/o/Akita_.php I a male Akita that 9 months I've had since I was 8 weeks old. He has the personality to a T. Akita is headstrong, stubborn and if he does not want to do something, he or at least is not all modes. He has a schedule and rules he has to take everyday. Most importantly, you have to make sure you know that you are the Alpha and not to them. They make great family pets but do not recommend it for everyone. I'm so hardheaded like my Akita, if not more, work well together.
