Vision of dogs?

I know they are black and white. But I've also heard they only see in 2D not 3D like us. Is this true?

The fact that a dog sees only black and white is an old wives tale and not true. DGPS can see some colors, but with the same intensity as the dogs humans. Are red-green color blind. They see a world brighter and less detailed, compared to humans. Peripheral vision is better that people rights (see more dogs in the world), but distance is not judged as good. Dogs excel at night vision and detection of moving objects. I'm not sure about 2D or 3D, but I know that dogs can detect motion on a TV. I had a golden retriever who loved to watch TV. When I went to see a dog on TV, ran up the screen and follow your nose. When the dog disappeared, she looks behind the TV to see where it was … lol. The links below can give you a clearer picture on the vision of a dog.
