The first time taking my dogs to a beach …..?
This spring my husband and I are taking our two Shelties to the Outer Banks, North Carolina is a 12-hour drive from where we live. None of us has had a long journey with the dogs. Any advice or tips for traveling 12 hours with two dogs? Also our dogs have never been in an ocean before, and I have no idea what to bring for them and what to watch out to keep my dogs safe. Thanks for the advice! Here's a pic of the soon to be the crew to the beach! http://s44.photobucket.com/albums/f10/black_eyed05 /? action = view & current = 100_0328.jpg Thanks for the help so far! very useful. My dogs go in the car almost every day! Mayor of my only love the car but the other is a little shy in the car. sometimes drool, but she is getting much better.
My dogs are generally very good on trips. Just be sure to keep food and water in his hand. You may want to carry a ball or a Frisbee. This will help them associate the ocean with the game. If taken in the water, let's try and get a feel for you make them into walks slowly with them. Good luck and have a blast!
