bone cancer in dogs?
can you tell me the symptoms of bone cancer in dogs. My dogs have great legs started to tremble when standing / walking and someone said this could be bone cancer. What do you think? that is ten years old. I have also started to give 500 mg Glucosamine does anyone know if one tablet is enough? Cheers weighs 39kilos
One of my dogs ended with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) and was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. I actually had taken a hip replacement done at another veterinary specialist and he said surgery would not help because had cancer. Then I wanted another opinion since he had received two differing diagnoses, so I took her to a veterinary oncologist. It was confirmed it was cancer. His leg does not shake as you mentioned. I just do not want a lot of weight on her bare leg (legs). The only way to really determine what is the problem with your dog is that X-rays done. Could just be your dog has arthritis and needs a antiflamitory / pain med. Your leg may be shaken by the pain, but hopefully that are not cancer. Here are a couple of sites give you an idea about bone cancer. http://www.petplace.com/dogs/osteosarcoma/page1.aspx http://www.southpaws.com/news/97-4-oncology-osteo.html Wishing your dog all the best.
